Layoffs

I've had a larger than expected amount of people comment on the content I share recently and how as a recruitment professional I should comment on the lay offs. So here's my address:

I was laid off from Wargaming when the conflict began with Russia and Ukraine and working with people directly affected and seeing how that impacted their lives affected me. 

Surprisingly... 

Recruiters are people and we feel things too. Not only if the issue is political but if the issue is social. The games industry, OUR industry is being affected and being so active on LinkedIn means post after post and scroll after scroll is layoffs. 

My personality type upbeat and fun...most of the time 😅 So if I share an uplifting article or say a real cheesy joke, I use them as distractions or a moment of peace to the reader. Its not some back handed, cold hearted way of me ignoring an issue.

I've built my network with like-minded people. So don't take my posts as an attack, because for some they are just moments of silence in a sea of dreadful news.

As always I'll continue sharing my ramblings and if that isn't enough then maybe this meme will take the edge off...
