Last week, I decided to take "shooting for your target" to a whole new level. Instead of the usual new year targets, I found myself armed with an assorted of firearms, eyeing a bullseye that seemed as distant as my Monday motivation returning from vacation 😅
Here's what I learned:
💡 Aim High, But Be Prepared for the recoil: With the current unseen forces (like market trends or layoffs) things can travel off course. The key? Stay adaptable and keep your eyes on the prize.
💡 Steady Hands Win the Game: Whether it's holding a gun or searching for a new job, the secret is in the steadiness. A calm, focused approach often leads to the best shot at success.
💡 Sometimes, You Miss: And that's okay! Every missed target is an opportunity to learn, adjust your aim, and try again. Persistence is more than half the battle.
I know these can sound corny but speaking as a person who was laid off before, they truly helped me continue on with the search and bring my A game into every interview I had.
